January 5, 2018

1/4 is a the kemari day in Shimogamo jinja。

the origin of Kemari could be tracked back to Period when Buddhism were preached to Japan.

People will wear clothes with Suikan, Hakama and Eboshi pattern like royal society in Heian period.

and play kemari made from deer leather.

There are many traditional culture activities held in Kyoto a year.

Next time why not attend with Kimono? you can enjoy pleasure even more.
